Do you garden for fun or to save money?

About half of the people I know have a garden. Some do it for healthy food, some do it for the fun of growing your own vegetables, some do it to save money, and some do it for all of the above reasons. However, since we write about saving money and budgeting, I thought focusing on the money saving aspect was important. Turns out, many people overspend by buying expensive bagged soil, purchasing plants instead of seeds, and by poorly planning their garden.
